What is the Energy Upgrade California?
Energy Upgrade California is a state initiative to help Californians take action to save energy and conserve natural resources, help reduce demand on the electricity grid, and make informed energy management choices at home and at work. Learn more by visiting the statewide website: www.energyupgradeca.org.
Energy Upgrade California offers homeowners two paths to incentives: Home Upgrade and Advanced Home Upgrade.
An Energy Upgrade California Home Upgrade offers up to $3,000 when you address your home’s energy efficiency needs as a system rather than focusing on individual improvements. To qualify for Home Upgrade, your project must choose three or more qualifying improvements from a set menu of high efficiency upgrade measures. Upgrades may include attic, wall and floor insulation, duct sealing, furnace and air conditioner replacements, and more.
An Energy Upgrade California Advanced Home Upgrade is customized for your home and your needs. The more energy you save, the bigger your rebates and incentives. Starting with an energy assessment of your home, your participating contractor will work with you to identify ways to save the most energy. Your rebates and incentives depend on the energy savings of your project. Customers may also be eligible for incentives exceeding $6,500* based on their calculated energy savings. Work with your participating contractor or rater to determine your upgrade’s incentive.
